Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems.

Provides system administration of Network; Web; and/or communication systems including Local Area (LAN) and Wide-Area Network (WAN) systems; involving network security. This includes administration of user accounts; passwords; email; chat; and collaboration tools. Requires comprehensive knowledge of the organization's hardware; software and network components. Maintains servers; creates monitoring reports and logs; and ensures functionality of links. Monitors web site for acceptable performance and user accessibility. Establishes back-ups and monitors site security. Consults with and advises network users. Identifies; analyzes; and documents long-range requirements and schedules resources related to the enterprise network. Responsible for configuration management and documentation of network and system enterprise network. Responsible for configuration management and documentation of system topologies and/or web site. Prepares technical implementation plans that provide integrated solutions including actions; milestones; time lines and critical paths required for complete solutions. Researches applicable standards and requirements documents to assure compliance. Selects or recommends multi-user software that meets common user requirements; integrates (where possible) with existing software. Plans and provides reasonable responsiveness in terms of system performance.

Participates in special projects as required.

Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.

Qualifications 5-8 years of directly related experience in systems administration and analysis.

 Must be IAT Level II or higher certified (i.e. Security Plus or equivilent or higher certification)


MCITP or MCSA/MCSE or higher certification


Must be an experienced admin of VMWare and have a working knowledge of SQL 2008/2012


Administration of SCCM 2012


Powershell/Scripting experience


Basic SharePoint Administration Knowledge
