This position is in support of the Department of the Navy Office of Civilian Human Resources. The incumbent develops; writes; and runs reports and performs analyses using the customer's internal IBM COGNOS10 data system; HRLink; and the reporting tools within it.

  Incumbent should have ability to develop; and run reports and templates compatible with the current software (COGNOS 10) and shall assist in modifying or developing reports for current and follow-on systems. The incumbent shall generate functional requirements in support of metrics; dashboards and reports and interface with the OCHR HR Systems Division on any testing; verification; and implementation issues.

  The position provides general analysis in support of workload and workforce data; Trend Analysis and recurring reports preparation; Recruitment Information/Data/Analysis including recruitment reports; metrics and studies; Ad Hoc Reports & Support to include surveys; performance metrics and analysis for specific projects using data available through HRLink and COGNOS 10 Report Studio. Products developed will include HR performance metrics on quality; timeliness; quantity; and customer satisfaction utilizing COGNOS 10.

  Applicant must be an expert in preparing Excel spreadsheets; to include downloading data; preparing pivot tables; analyzing data and performance metrics; graphics (charting) and preparing written reports and briefings for Senior Leadership. Provide support in the areas of databases; and data analysis including organizational metrics; population data; and financial data from client systems. Ability to work independently once assigned a task and can prioritize individual work to ensure customer needs are met.


   Education Formal training in Cognos 10; or 2+ years of experience using COGNOS report studio a plus

Qualifications 8-10 years' experience working experience desired, willing to consider less based upon related experience.

  Experience analyzing data and developing presentations; experience with workforce or workload data a plus

  Able to obtain a secret security clearance

  Previous working experience with the Navy preferred but not required
