With minimal supervision, the Senior IT Administrator supports all Command and Control Mission Systems (C2MS), their associated software, hardware, configurations, networks and architectures as listed as part of the Specialized Automated Mission Suite (SAMS) and Air Operations Center Weapons System (AOCWS). Works as a member of a diverse Integrated Project Team to ensure all operating mission nodes (operations centers, airborne weapon systems, ground teams, and other) can interoperate and execute synchronized mission activities via their mission systems, connected through various mission networks. Ensures system are interoperability, internally and externally. Integrates conventional, special operations, and other systems and applications into light, lean, integrated, interoperable, and scalable packages that are used in-garrison and deployed. Provides systems and network administration, analysis, and baseline development for AFSOF C2MS employment. Develops and tests computer, network and other device configurations and builds. Develops systems and systems architectures using NIST and DISA STIG standards. Provides security analysis, C2MS support training, and develops C2MS standards for Government approval. Provides Tier II and Tier III support for SOF and PMO developed software and hardware suites, including SAMS-C2 Servers, SAMS Ku Spread Spectrum Kits, and other designated C2MS systems and networks. Works with engineering staff in all functional areas to ensure full support and integration of all SAMS, AFSOF unique components, and government systems of record, to include: TBMCS UL/FL, GCCS-J/AF, TACLAN, and SAMS-C2 Server. Leads small to moderate sized projects, and ensures deliverables and timelines are met in accordance with the project plan. Mentors junior systems and network staff on systems and network principles and support for newly engineered SAMS systems. Provides training to government and technical staff on SAMS systems. Assists the C2MS team to ensure all contractual obligations and objectives are met in accordance with the Statement of Work and functional area. Security Requirements
