The Chief Engineer is responsible for overseeing engineering efforts for the Command’s communications, information systems, and networks.

It is required that the Chief Engineer – Lab Integration has the following qualifications:

    Demonstrates experience overseeing major enterprise network engineering efforts, identifying automation challenges, and developing technical solutions. Demonstrates experience leading engineering teams in system design, development, and implementation of mission-critical computer and software systems.Demonstrates experience with the planning and execution of hardware and software installations and upgrades.Demonstrates experience presenting technical information to senior military or Government officials.Knowledge of data communications and messaging systems.Knowledge of Cisco and MS technologies and best practices.
Designs and develops tests and test requirements for products, systems, software and/or related components and equipment.

 1. Designs and develops tests and test requirements for products, systems, software and/or related components and equipment.

 2. Troubleshoots problems and documents findings of tests.

 3. Defines testing processes and ensures tests adhere to established standards.

 4. May participate in quality assurance plan development.

 5. May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced test engineers.

 6. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.

 7. Participates in special projects as required.

Education Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical discipline.

    Possess at least one of the following industry certifications: CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, MCSE, MCSA, CCNA Security, or CISSP and/or be a GIAC Certified Windows Security Administrator (GCWN) or GIAC Certified Enterprise Defender (GCED).Demonstrates experience leading engineering teams in a C4 networking environment.Extensive mobile device technology experience to include, 3G/4G, Wifi / WiMax Technologies, Application Development, and mobile platforms (such as iOS, Android, etc.).


  • Extensive experience with virtual environment setup and management.
  • HBSS 201 Administrator 301 Advanced Administrator certification
Load balancing traffic management technologies


5-8 years of related experience in testing, engineering or quality assurance.
