Job Description

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is looking for multiple candidates to provide System Administration support for a wide variety of classified and unclassified Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) networks supporting a US Government Customer over a wide geographic region. The selected candidates will be responsible for system administration of physical and virtual server and network infrastructures as well as installation and configuration of databases, storage area networks, and cloud infrastructures.

Specific job duties include:

    Installation and configuration of network infrastructureSystem administrationDatabase administrationMaintenance of server and desktop infrastructureAddressing cybersecurity concerns inclusive of DISA STIG and IAVMs
Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.

Qualifications 5-8 years of directly related experience in systems administration and analysis.


Clearance Level


    IAT Level II Compliance [Security+ CE, GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC), Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP) or System Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)]Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA), Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), VMware Certified Associate – Data Center Virtualization (VCA-DCV) or equivalent
Required Skills

    5 to 8 years of experience
Desired Skills

    Knowledge of ITIL processes and ITIL CertificationKnowledge of database administration and server virtualizationPrior work on large, geographically disperse networksExperience with the IAVM process
