General Summary: Senior solutions engineer/architect reporting to the VP for Cybersecurity, Cloud, and Unified Communications (UC) Solutions within General Dynamics IT Global Solutions Division. Focused on providing cybersecurity solutions to Federal, state and commercial markets. Leads the development/design of technical solutions that can address a wide variety of customer cybersecurity challenges.

Possesses in depth knowledge of current cybersecurity market, technologies and their application to discrete customer challenges. Demonstrates knowledge and ability to transform a traditional security architecture to a new one across network, data, storage, application and identity layers. Understands Department of Defense cybersecurity architectures and tools along with commercial best practices.

Understands Federal security requirements as well as DoD RMF processes and associated standards necessary to design both a cyber compliant solution as well as validate security achieved. Knowledge of Department of Defense Joint Information Environment (JIE) and the Joint Regional Security Stack (JRSS) architectures a plus.


Position Responsibilities:

    Ability to analyze cybersecurity problem, develop a technologically sound risk balanced approach, and articulate a response.Define and evaluate solutions in cybersecurity market.Develop relationships with partners and other vendors/OEMs to support captures.Prepare proposal content, reports, white papers, and technical reviews to senior management and other elements within General Dynamics. Areas of knowledge desired include but are not limited to:
      Application Security – secure software coding practicesComputer Network Defense / Computer Network Attack / ethical hacking / red teaming / Cyber forensics / security data analysis / penetration testing Information/data centric security – encryption / PKI Network security – network device monitoring, intrusion detection / patching – compliance management/perimeter defense management SOC Management – Incident response management / Disaster recovery / Continuity planning and activities Identity Management and Assurance – biometrics / Privacy managementInsider Threat Management and mitigation End-user cybersecurity training and educationSecuring Critical Infrastructure and Industrial Control SystemsIdentify threats, vulnerabilities and consequences and design appropriate responses Cloud Security Services and architectureMobility Cybersecurity / EW/RF spectrum cybersecurity
Education 1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline.

 2. Master's Degree preferred.

Qualifications 20 or more years of related systems engineering experience.
