The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to work in our San Francisco, CA office. ASCO has embarked on a pioneering effort to develop a learning healthcare system in oncology. This system, CancerLinQ (, aggregates data from the routine care experience of cancer patients to improve the quality of care and health outcomes of all patients with cancer. Join us in our fight against cancer using big data technologies as a Senior QA Automation Engineer.   We are looking for a hands-on, passionate QA engineer with attention to detail and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

  • Develop automation tests to ensure the highest quality for CancerLinQ applications
  • Establish quality processes to ensure high software quality in a continuous development and deployment environment
  • Work with the development and products team in an Agile development cycle
  • Drive different testing strategies for different aspects of the CancerLinQ from data ingestion to the various applications on the platform
  • Automate performance and security testing
  • Mentor other QA team members as we grow the team
  • Document and communicate with other technical and non-technical audiences
  • Bachelors in computer science or equivalent educational background
  • 5+ years of experience in developing QA test automation
  • Well versed in object oriented programming
  • Expertise in QA automation frameworks and tools
  • Experience with developing test scripts to test APIs
  • Understanding of Agile development methodologies and experienced in working with tools like Git, Jira and Jenkins that are used in the software development life cycle.
  • Solid understanding of databases, web services and web applications 
  • Experience with SAP HANA and related extended services would be a plus
  • Experience in working with healthcare and bioinformatics applications would be a plus.
  • Understanding of NLP technologies would be a plus
