Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America seeks a focused, energetic and detail-oriented junior level professional to join our team as Coordinator, Communications and Membership.  This position provides essential administrative and project management support for association communications, legal and membership services team members and is an important support role between departments and on high profile projects.

Duties will include, but not be limited to: managing long term project lists, calendars and meeting agendas as well as internal reports; drafting and posting social media content; overseeing external email and marketing communications; providing support to serve prospective and current members; processing dues reporting and member participation documents; and providing administrative support(handling expense reports, travel arrangements and special projects) to assist the legal team and charitable foundation programs.

This position is a direct report to the Vice President, Communications and Membership and provides support to the Communications and Membership department as well as the Senior Vice President and General Counsel.  Candidates should have excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail and accuracy in written materials and projects, and have an understanding of the political, policy and trade association landscape.  Candidates should also possess a bachelor’s degree, have experience with document creation, HTML, graphics and photo production and editing, and have functional proficiency in the MS Office suite especially MS Project and Excel.

This is a junior / entry level position and the ideal candidate will have 1-2 years’ experience.  WSWA provides a creative, fun and challenging work environment from its downtown offices.  Occasional travel required.
