Manager, Outpatient Clinic
Responsible for daily operations of the clinic, including maintaining a clean and orderly environment ensuring that all office equipment is in working order and ensuring adequate staffing.
Responsible for ordering and maintaining office supplies.
Responsible for ensuring telephones are answered promptly, messages are delivered and processed in accordance with the clinic policy and the appropriate telephone protocol is maintained for “after hours” coverage.
Responsible for ensuring that patients are assessed and scheduled appropriately.
Responsible for ensuring all patient demographics and insurance information is entered correctly, charges and receipts are posted daily, all transactions balance daily, and all reports are processed daily.
Responsible for ensuring all co-pays and referrals are collected and processed at the time of service.
Responsible for ensuring all authorizations are obtained.
Responsible for ensuring all physician chart documentation is accurate, up to date and supports and coding and billing.
Responsible to assist with collections and insurance appeals.
Responsible for ensuring all patient reports and charts are processed in an orderly and efficient manner.
The manager must be able to assess acute situations quickly and make the proper determinations to triage patients accordingly.
The managermust be able to maintain a calm demeanor in stressful situations and provide explanations, when necessary, to patients, staff and physicians in an effort to maintain good customer service and patient satisfaction.
the manager must possess excellent communication skills, be able to multi-task, prioritize and maintain a positive teamwork environment so the highest level of quality service can be achieved.
the manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all Adventist Healthcare, HIPAA, OSHA, CMS, OIG and other regulartory requirements.
High School graduate or equivalent
Five years previous medical experience with two years of supervisory experience
Preferred experience in a behavioral health environment.
Knowledge of practice management systems, medical office procedures and microsoft programs.
Knowledge of insurance, coding and billing regulations
Knowledge of CPT and ICD codes.
Strong customer service skills
Ability to multi-task, priortize, problem solve, and maintain professionalism
Ability to abide by HIPAA, OSHA, Adventist HealthCare policies and procedures and all regulatory requirements.
This is a Full Time position, 9 am to 6 pm. No weekends required.
