Internal Consultant I

The Internal Consultant assists the Vice-President of Clinical Effectiveness and Patient Safety and the AHC Chief Quality/Chief Compliance Officer to ensure a state of continuous accreditation readiness across the health system. Coordinates/participates in assessments of entities/programs and mock survey type activities. Provides time-zero training on relevant
state/federal rules/regulations/standards to include but not limited to CMS, TJC, CARF and COMAR. Prepares detailed accreditation assessments, project updates and corrective action summaries. Collaborates with a wide variety of stakeholders in accordance with the Quality and Patient Safety Strategic Plan.
Research/interpret various accreditation standards (including but not limited to CMS, TJC, COMAR, etc
Frequent contact/collaboration with a wide variety of stakeholders across the health system.
RN strongly preferred.
BA/BS Degree required.
Masters in a Healthcare-related field, Management or Business also preferred.
Minimum of three to five years clinical/health-care experience required.
Excellent educational assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation skills.
Excellent verbal and written skills, including the ability to articulate detailed educational project plans.
