Host

The hosts’ responsibility is to greet all guests who enter the restaurant with passion and enthusiasm.

Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Graciously escorts guests to their table, and provides menus to them once seated
  • Coordinates the operation of the dining room during meal service periods, adjusting seating flow in such a manner as to balance guests among the various service stations.
  • Takes all to-go orders and re-confirms to guest to ensure proper items are rung into the point of sale system
  • Answers telephone calls to the restaurant
  • Takes reservations

Job Requirements:

  • Must have professional appearance and attitude
  • Prior experience working in high volume or fast casual dining restaurant environment preferred
  • Demonstrated customer service experience
  • Experience working in a fast paced working environment
  • General knowledge of computers and the ability to learn new programs quickly
  • Ability to transport and carry objects weighing up to 30 lbs. numerous times throughout the shift
  • Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods up to 8 hours
  • Ability to deal with multiple tasks effectively and establish priorities
  • Ability to communicate effectively, including the ability to speak and write in English. Ability to listen effectively, process information quickly, and transfer knowledge to others in order to ensure standards of quality are met consistently
