Radiology Student Technologist
MedStar Washington Hospital Center Medical Imaging School of Radiography Opportunity The Medical Imaging School at MedStar Washington Hospital Center is a 22-month program accredited by the Joint Review Committee in Education in Radiologic Technology. Graduates from the program are qualified to take the A.R.R.T exam in Radiography to become a Registered Radiographer. A career in Radiologic Technology can lead in many directions. Radiologic Technologists are needed in every health care setting: community and teaching hospitals, university medical centers, outpatient clinics, physician offices and radiology practices. There are dozens of opportunities to specialize in clinical areas ranging from prenatal care to orthopedics. There are also opportunities to work in specific fields of interest: * Diagnostic Imaging * Radiation Therapy * Research that leads to breakthroughs in diagnostic imaging * Teaching and inspiring new generations of radiologic technologists * Managing radiology departments With additional education, you could become a Radiologist Assistant - expanding your capabilities by serving as a Radiologist Extender. The boundaries of your career in Radiologic Technology are determined only by your own abilities and interests. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Associate's degree is required. * We now have a year-round application/enrollment process. * The next school year begins AUGUST, 2017.
