This vacancy is for multiple Program Analyst positions in the Associate Director for Decennial Census Program (ADDC) located at the U.S. Census Bureau Headquarters in Suitland, Maryland.

This position is ELIGIBLE for telework; additional criteria will be required (e.g., supervisory approval).

Relocation expenses may be paid.

This is a BARGAINING unit position.

This position maybe filled through means other than the competitive promotion process and more than one position may be filled within the U.S. Census Bureau under this announcement.

This is an open continuous announcement. The initial cut off date for referral is May 19, 2016. After this date additional referral list will be created as vacancies are available. KEY REQUIREMENTS:
  • You must be a U.S. citizen.
  • You must successfully complete a background investigation.
  • You may be required to complete a financial disclosure (OGE-450).
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Specialized Experience:

    For GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal services. Experience for this position includes: applying project management principles to assigned projects; experience gathering and developing requirements related to new or time sensitive programs; experience applying independent judgment when details are not provided; experience working with interdisciplinary teams and individuals to identify and resolve problems that effect the accomplishment of principles program goals and objectives; experience developing schedules for projects; communicating in writing and in person to various levels of stakeholders; experience managing and engaging with a variety of internal/external stakeholders.

    Education cannot be substituted for experience at this grade level.

    Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
