This vacancy is for multiple Program Analyst positions in the Associate Director for Decennial Census Programs located at the U.S. Census Bureau Headquarters in Suitland, Maryland.

**Multiple selections may be made from various directorates within the Census Bureau from this announcement for a position with the same title, series, grade(s) promotion potential, general job responsibilities and duty location**

This position is ELIGIBLE for telework; additional criteria will be required (e.g., supervisory approval).

Relocation expenses may be paid.

This is a NONBARGAINING unit position.

This is an open continuo announcement. The initial cutoff date for referral is April 29, 2016. After this date additional referral list will be created as vacancies are available. This announcement covers multiple positions within the various Directorates of the U.S. Census Bureau through April 14, 2017.


KEY REQUIREMENTS:
  • You must be a U.S. citizen.
  • You must successfully complete a background investigation.
  • You may be required to complete a financial disclosure (OGE-450).
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Specialized Experience:

    For GG-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal services. Experience for this position includes conduct analysis and perform projections of planned vs actual expenditures, develop short-range plans for high level financial and budget related issues and activities works with senior staff to plan research activities and have the ability to develop materials for responding to data calls and inquiries.

    Education cannot be substituted for experience at this grade level.

    Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
