This is a critical managerial role directly supporting the General Manager and the overall operations of the restaurant.Our Assistant Manager will be a natural leader and have a strong desire to grow personally and professionally. Candidates must have a genuine passion for healthier daily choices and delicious food, be obsessed with consistent quality, and observant of the details that make each guest's experience a positive one.

SUMMARY OF ROLE
The Assistant Manager will work alongside the General Manager in leading the daily operation of the restaurant, categories of which include: guest service and satisfaction, food quality, restaurant cleanliness and maintenance, training and managing of staff, sanitation and food safety compliance, cash management and reporting, ordering and inventory, meeting sales, labor, and cost targets, and planning and execution of marketing promotions. The Assistant Manager will also be responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations in the General Manager's absence.

-Understanding of the financial big picture as it relates to daily P&L control

-Efficient time management, delegation, and follow up skills

REQUIREMENTS
-At least three years work experience
-Knowledge of and experience in the food service industry; experience in a fast casual/fast service restaurant environment preferred
-Have experience in supervisory and/or management roles in food service
-Possess basic math and cash handling skills; have the ability to efficiently operate a POS system
-Be able to work in a standing position for up to ten hours per day
-Be able to reach, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
-Possess the stamina to work 40-60 hours a week
-Have reliable transportation
-ServSafe certification preferred, but not required if strong retail experience and strong customer skills exist. A willingness to get certified is required
