Job Summary:
The Assistant Project Manager supports the Project Manager in the office and the Superintendent in the field on all assigned projects. Performs routine daily activities and assists in gathering and distributing information to team members. Possesses strong written and verbal communications skills and manages time effectively. Weekly average hours are 50+. This position is contracted but could become permanent if selected candidate is open to relocation.

- Analyzing and resolving field construction issues.
- Prepare, review, and distribute RFI's. Maintain RFI Log and Cost Impacts.
- Maintain job files and asbuilts.
- Develop and maintain two week subcontractor schedule outlooks with Superintendent.
- Maintain thorough understanding of contract documents and subcontracts.
- Prepare meeting minutes for all progress meetings.
- Distributing subcontract agreements, issuing change orders, issuing purchase orders and assisting project manager in scopes of work.
- Track material procurement schedules for onsite job deliveries.
- Monitor field work contract work to ensure compliance with company standards, procedures and specifications and codes.
- Must be able to maintain inspection records for local jurisdictions and third party inspection companies.
- Responsible for continuously expanding and updating professional knowledge and honing skills and competencies to enhance individual and team innovation and productivity.
- Attend and actively participate in project coordination and owner/contractor/architect/engineer meetings as requested or required.
- Perform additional duties and assignments as assumed or directed by supervision.
- Be able to do takeoffs on materials and understand market driven material pricing.
- Manage project closeout and obtain all warranties required for final acceptance.
- Ensure company procedures and standards are maintained.

- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Business.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
- Must be career driven and understand the hours needed to pull a construction project to substantial completion.
- Knowledge of Prolog or Timberline would be preferred.
- CPM scheduling using Microsoft Project
- Minimum of 1 year construction management experience in the field or in office as an Assistant Project Engineer, which could include co-op or intern experience.
