Responsible for the routine daily operation of credit union systems including system jobs, backups, operating system updates and maintenance, data storage and security oversight including monitoring of system activity logs.
Perform preventative and fault isolation maintenance for network communications and server hardware; maintain production and test databases to meet redundancy and project requirements; audit systems for critical updates on a monthly basis, or each time a major threat is announced.
Develop, maintain and update documentation outlining network communications and data flow for system and security applications; diagnose network related problems and provide technical support to staff as needed; stay informed on developments in the technology field.
Troubleshoot issues/problems with Windows Active Directory and in-house mainframe; implement and maintain routers, gateways, remote access points, domain servers, security firewalls and appliances; keep server operating systems up-to-date with security patches using the KBOX. Monitor the Windows Terminal Services, Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft SQL Server environment. Evaluate and recommend products to maintain and improve current maintenance.
Remain on-call for system issues during off business hours as deemed necessary; performs other job related duties as assigned.
A minimum of five years of similar or related experience. College Degree; work experience and certifications can substitute for a degree.
