 FULL-TIME & PART-TIME POSITIONS

Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing or a related field.  In lieu of the Bachelor of Science degree, graduate of a professional nursing program with a minimum of two (2) years of utilization review experience in a hospital setting.  Current District of Columbia license to practice as a Registered Nurse or eligible for endorsement.  Must be board-certified by the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review or be eligible for certification within twelve (12) months of employment.  Ability to work well independently.  Ability to use patient care methodologies, including criteria development and data analysis techniques.  Ability to abstract data for presentation to medical committees in a comprehensive and professional manner.  Ability to respect patient’s rights to privacy and maintain strict confidentiality.  Good computer skills, including, but not limited to Microsoft Office program (Microsoft Word), data entry, and other electronic evidence-based applications related to patient care. Competence in both oral and written English.  Ability to establish and maintain effective and harmonious work relations with staff, physicians, hospital and university officials and the general public.
