Assistant Project Manager

FORD Management Services, specializing in construction management and facilities support has an immediate opening for an Assistant Project Manager.  We are seeking a motivated and organized self starter that can work independently to join our growing team.


·         Assists in the coordination, control and completion of projects from design through completion.

·         Assists the Project Manager as assigned.

·         Assists with bid / pricing reviews.  Perform estimates.

·         Creates and maintains project schedules.

·         Processes all construction change orders.

·         Conducts periodic inspections on projects including punch list inspections.  Some travel required Regions 1 and 2 including but not limited to NY, NJ, PA, CT, and ME.

·         Maintains project files; both electronic and paper.

·         Prepares monthly project updates for submission to clients.

·         Participates in project progress meetings.

·         Maintains logs on change orders, RFI’s, and funding.

·         Generates meeting minutes as required.

·         Acts as onsite escort for project deliveries and installations.

·         Assists with the development of new business opportunities.


·         BS in Construction Management, Engineering or a combination of education and experience equivalent to 4 years of performing administrative functions in a construction project management environment

·         Knowledge of Project Scheduling Software

·         Knowledge of Estimating Software

·         Knowledge of the principles and practices of Construction Management

·         Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

·         Ability to work in a collaborative team-oriented environment
