MMG is looking for an experienced Business Development Director to join our team. The successful candidate will have experience generating new business opportunities and growing existing business in clinical trials patient recruitment and retention for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Knowledge of the drug development process and a keen understanding of the clinical research industry are additional success factors for this posit i on. 

 

The Business Development Director will work full-time in our corporate headquarters in Rockville, MD, or as a remote employee from his/her home office location.

 

The Business Development Director:

·        will build and maintain business relationships with new and existing clients

·        identify client challenges and work to develop and implement solutions

·        effectively collaborate with the proposal and other internal teams to support the proposal development process

·        address client objectives and budget parameters

·        participate in professional meetings and conferences to effectively showcase MMG's capabilities to potential clients while looking for and identifying new business opportunities; and

·        report on business and client activities.

 

Qualifications:

·        Bachelor's degree in business or marketing management

·        5 years' experience in business development, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and/or CRO market sales

·        Outstanding interpersonal, customer relationship management, and problem-solving skills

·        Excellent communication skills--written, verbal, presentation and active listening

·        Strong organizational skills and sharp attention to detail

·        Ability and willingness to travel

·        Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and open to learning new computer skills

·        Self-motivated to continue growing industry knowledge through workshops, conferences, and educational methods
