Job Profile

The Cost Proposal Analyst will work directly with the Managing Director of Contracts and Budgets on proposal preparation, cost and pricing, and supporting documentation for cost proposals and contract modifications.

 

Responsibilities

  • Review, analyze, and interpret procurement materials

  • Analyze procurement requirements and distill them for use in budget preparation

  • Coordinate with Proposal Managers and Coordinators to help develop proposal budgets

  • Coordinate with Project Managers to help develop pricing support for contract modifications

  • Track and monitor all stages of pricing events

  • Support the Pricing department with the creation of additional budgetary support documents, such as state registrations, reps and certifications, etc.

  • Manage from start to finish, the business proposal life cycle for both new procurements and ‘add-on’ awards

  • Assist with creation and updating of proposal budget spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel

 

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field

  • 2 years of related experience preferred

  • The candidate must have excellent organization skills, analytical skills, and demonstrate exceptional accuracy and attention to detail

  • Familiarity with government contract bidding process

 

Skills

  • Must be organized and able to manage multiple projects and develop quick turn-around contract management strategies

  • Must be able to work well both independently and with a team

  • Must be proficient in both Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, organizational and writing skills
