Proposal Pricing Analyst ? Government Team
Gallup is looking for an experienced pricing analyst to join our government proposal team. This team is responsible for generating complex, high-quality proposals to support business development initiatives. The pricing analyst, who reports to the pricing team lead, plays a key role in the success of every proposal. Essential qualities to succeed in this role include flexibility, energy, independence, the ability to learn quickly, a strong sense of ownership, and commitment to excellence. Candidates must also have experience with pricing government projects.
Lead cost/price proposal strategy, planning, and volume preparation in accord with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications
Prepare and modify complex spreadsheets
Coordinate effectively with proposal manager, technical staff, subcontractors, and other associates to ensure that required cost data are thorough, accurate, and submitted on schedule
Write clear and compliant budget narratives to respond to requests for proposals and/or clients
Provide pricing guidance to proposal and business development teams to ensure that pricing strategy is completed in accordance with the requirements
Work with a team to analyze current budgets and perform monthly quality assurance reviews to ensure project plans operate in accordance with contractual guidelines and procedures
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelors degree in business, finance, accounting, mathematics, or related field with two+ years of experience pricing proposals on service contracts
Familiarity with contract types, including firm fixed price, time and materials (T&M), cost-plus, and ID/IQ contracting, as well as a diverse range of customers, including commercial, federal, and DoD
Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
Knowledge of cost estimating techniques
Demonstrated experience working on multiple proposals at a time
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Flexibility to work as needed during the proposal process to meet deadlines
