Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Part Time – Lanham, MD

Established, well seasoned Internal Medicine practice seeks a part time nurse practitioner or physician assistant.  Practitioner will assume clinical management of specific patients in collaboration with the physician.  Follows established standards, procedures and practices and gives specific patient management directions to nursing and other staff.  Incumbents in this position may be required to perform all or a significant combination of duties depending on their specialty area.   Resumes/CV can be faxed to 301.552.3957 or emailed to cjackson@carrnise.com Attn:  Ms. Jackson

Education: Accredited Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Program is required.

Prior experience:  Two years experience preferred.  Electronic Medical Records (EMR) knowledge.

Certification/registration/licensure:  Maryland Licensure required.

Basic Qualifications:

Nurse Practitioner

• Specialty certification or clinical experience in specialty area if appropriate.
• Master's of science with graduate level education as NP.
• State Maryland license(s).
• Certification in appropriate practice area from authorized agency.
• Current BLS certification is required from the American Heart Association.
• DEA number required if practice agreement authorized prescribing of controlled substances.
• Written Attestation of practice with a supervising physician on file w/ MBON.

Physician Assistant

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant training program.
• Board Certification from NCCPA - renewed every 6 years.
• State Maryland license(s)
• Current BLS certification is required from the American Heart Association.
• DEA number required if practice agreement authorized prescribing of controlled substances.
• Written practice agreement w/ a supervising physician the appropriate State BOM.
 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two (2) years of experience as an NP/PA.

• If PA, BS preferred.

• Enrollment in Medicare/PECOS credentialing program.  Will assist.

• CAQH (universal health insurance credentialing).  Will assist.

• Ambulatory clinical experience.
