Prince Georges Community College is seeking a SQL Developer/Analyst under general supervision, performs tasks and activities related to back-end Transact-SQL (T-SQL) programming in designing, developing, maintaining and implementing automated solutions to support business objectives and changes.


1. Associate Degree in Computer Technology, Management Information Systems or related field preferred OR equivalent formal training in related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
2. A combination of education and related (T-SQL) experience for a total of six (6) years. (Thirty college credits is equivalent to one year of experience).
3. Proficiency and experience working with Transaction-SQL (T-SQL).

The following criteria, which are not the sole criteria used in the final hiring decision, will be used to review the applications of those persons who meet the stated minimum qualifications and to select those qualified applicants who will be interviewed. 1. Extent of experience with MS SQL/Server
2. Extent of experience writing queries and stored procedures using T-SQL
3. Extent of ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms.
4. Extent of experience in application development and leadership.
5. Extent of education preparation relevant to the position including classes, workshops, seminars, etc.
6. Extent of experience working with relational database management systems.
7. Extent of experience working with SQL Server and tools; SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), system stored procedures (sprocs).
8. Extent of experience with business intelligence software and/or other programming languages.
9. Extent of experience with multi-tasking and working with a variety of people and cultural diversity.
10. Extent of experience with translating both verbal and written requirements into T-SQL programming solutions.
11. Extent of ability to articulate technical solutions for both technical and non-technical audiences.
