We are seeking an EHR-Core Technical Project Manager to support the Defense Health Clinical Systems (DHCS) in Falls Church, VA.

Successful Candidate will:

• Maintain daily reporting mechanisms and all required documentation for the Product Team and Managers
• Interface with stakeholders to obtain required documentation and maintain document libraries for each product
• Facilitate application software and hardware transitions, license renewals and allocations, manage software and hardware warranties for DHA health systems and associated interfaces
• Coordinate with DoD approved third party vendors to obtain bids and oversee contracted work
• Support DoD acquisition activities
• Guide COTS vendor interactions
• Develop and review all necessary technical documentation
• Evaluate all technical proposals and provide recommendation on way forward to government
• Prepare documentation using standardized templates ensuring all required information is complete and accurate
• Attend daily stand-up meetings
• Attend weekly working group meetings with the Stakeholders and third party vendors
• Provide written progress and status reports in a bi-weekly submission or as directed by the government
• Monitor and control the project through its life-cycle including design, development, testing, integration, implementation, and sustainment
• Review project deliverables and recommending government approval or rejection
• Lead engineering reviews, including reviewing entrance and exit criteria and resolving issues
• Coordinate cost and progress reviews with the project scheduler and resource management controller
• Conduct project risk management supporting the PMO lessons learned program

Requirements Include:

• Documentation and IT project management experience
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or information systems
• Knowledge of database systems (e.g.: Cache or Oracle), Virtual Systems (VMWare), and operating systems like Open VMS, Windows and Red Hat Linux desired
• Knowledge of Defense Acquisition system engineering process is desirable
• Previous experience within the DoD Military Health IT environment
• Extremely detail oriented and organized
• Proactive with superb follow through
• Ability to undergo a background investigation which requires US Citizenship
