Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:
The Sr. JAVA Application Developer (Tech Lead) is responsible for leading the development team and will be developing, modifying and maintaining applications written in JAVA that may be customized or standardized. The Sr. JAVA Developer will devise and/or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capability and limitation, operating time and form of desired results. The Sr. JAVA Developer will participate in designing and coding activities with other Application Developers and necessary business groups.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Designing/coding applications following specifications using the appropriate tools and adhering to the companies coding standards.
* Designing and developing new systems with an emphasis on minimized maintenance requirements, as well as performing maintenance and enhancement of existing systems.
* Interfacing with end-users for the purpose of design and implementation of new systems and troubleshooting problems with existing systems.

Minimum Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field. An equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
* Minimum 5+ years of development experience working with the JAVA and related tools like STRUTS
* Programming language experience in JAVA, HTML, PL/SQL
* Experience working with Oracle 11g SQL
* Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to other Sr. JAVA Developers and technical staff members.
* Ability to interface well with Operations staff and other non-technical members of the organization.
* Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies.
* Knowledge of software architecture, design, development and debugging techniques.
* Experience with Software Development Life-cycle methodologies.
* Demonstrated web application knowledge and experience, including functionality utilizing web services.
* Ability to perform data modeling and write database access code using Oracle 11g.
* US Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is required. Additionally, candidates must be able to successfully pass a client investigation and obtain Public Trust access.
