Avalere Health is seeking a CRM Director to join our growing

Marketing, Communications, and Sales Analytics team. Reporting

to the Senior Vice President of Marketing, the candidate will be

responsible for overseeing Salesforce.com, Avalere’s CRM platform,

as well as integrating Marketo, Avalere’s marketing automation

system, to maximize our understanding of customer behavior

and to implement better marketing and sales activities.

 

The candidate will lead the technical governance and manage

the corporate application of Salesforce.com across the organization.

He/she will serve as our internal evangelist for CRM, promoting

new opportunities to leverage Salesforce.com and identifying /

evaluating additional software tools and applications as appropriate.

He/she will supervise the Salesforce.com Database Administrator

and work closely with Avalere’s Head of Marketing and Head

of Sales to ensure coordination of strategies and processes

that will elevate and inform our marketing and sales efforts.

 

The nature of this position demands outstanding

communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to

set / adjust priorities and meet deadlines. The candidate will

partner with matrixed teams across the entire company including

sales, account management, finance, and business leadership.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

-Leadership of Avalere’s CRM Efforts: Together with the senior
leadership of the company, develop the CRM business vision
and process roadmap that supports our evolving business imperatives.
Serve as internal advocate for CRM to help staff understand the value
of these platforms. Enhance our understanding of customer behavior
through the CRM platform and determine the best ways to engage
and reach customers. Promote strategies that maximize CRM
capabilities and demonstrate ROI from a sales and marketing perspective.

-End-to-End CRM oversight: Responsible for full range of
Salesforce.com and Marketo activities ranging from daily tasks
related to improving user functionality to thinking strategically
about the data and analysis that can drive marketing and
sales action. Ensures all application related work such as
implementation and optimization, whether managed internally
or by service provider, follows established standards, processes,
best practices and company guidelines.

-Data Quality Management: Ensure the integrity of the systems’
data to enable accurate and actionable decision-making by
senior management; includes customer segmentation,
cleanup and growth of customer list.

-Reporting and Analytics: Design and deliver dashboards and
reports to measure all aspects of marketing and sales operations:
campaign effectiveness, lead scoring, sales pipeline, closed/won
opportunities. Reports should be tailored to appropriate users across
the organization, including Steering Committee, Marketing team,
Sales team, Content teams.

-Training: Build training platform and establish processes for
optimizing the firm’s use of all tools available through the
Salesforce.com and Marketo platforms.

-Partner with Marketing, Sales, as well as senior level content leads:
Work closely with key stakeholders across Avalere to deliver data
and tools necessary to accurately and effectively execute
marketing and sales campaigns.

-Partner with head of IT and Accounting: Manage software
and consulting partner relationships to achieve flexibility,
agility, and stability.



Skills, Experience, and Other Job Related
Requirements:


-Deep functional and process understanding of Sales,
Sales Operations, Business Operations, and Marketing.

-Minimum of 8 to 10 years of proven success in CRM
database/systems management.

-Deep knowledge of Salesforce, including, development
methodologies, controls, and procedures. Expert level
knowledge of custom reporting, dashboard creation and data
cleanups (Salesforce certification a plus).

-Familiarity with Marketo or similar marketing automation
platforms, and their integration with company websites and
Salesforce.com.

-Track record of serving as an authority on CRM systems
and interfacing with senior leadership as well as daily users
of CRM to train users, generate adoption and encourage
sophisticated use of CRM.

-Detail oriented, facile with data analysis and comfortable
communicating conclusions and actionable results
to the business.

-Well-organized critical thinker with the ability to multi-task
and work with minimal supervision.

-Ability to work well with others and across teams/departments.

-Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, complete important
time-sensitive tasks, adapt quickly to last-minute changes
and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

-High-energy, driven and self-motivated with an
entrepreneurial spirit and a commitment to excellence.

-Demonstrated ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced
environment and recognize the importance of relationship
building and professionalism in interacting with both
senior management and staff employees.
