Billing Manager

AABB is an international, not-for-profit association representing individuals and institutions involved in the field of transfusion medicine and cellular therapies. The association is committed to improving health by developing and delivering standards, accreditation and educational programs that focus on optimizing patient and donor care and safety.

We are seeking a self-starting Billling Manager to manage AABB’s collection processing, billing practices, selected general ledger accounts, bank accounts, and assist with audit schedules.

 

Major responsibilities will include:

 

·        Assist the Director of Accounting in the day to day accounting and monthly close process including preparing schedules, account reconciliations and related journal entries for assigned general ledger accounts.   Duties may include:

o        Managing the monthly statement process for customers in NBE, Personify, Unanet, and Dynamics GP.

o        Managing collections of all accounts and preparing schedule of accounts receivable and aging (e.g., 30, 60, 90 days).

o        Reconciling cash Accounts.

o        Reconciling Accounts Receivable.

o        Reconciling Deferred Revenue.

o        Reconciling Revenue and expense accounts.

o        Ensuring all transactions are posted at month end and close subsystems for the month (Unanet, NBE.)

o        Providing support to AABB staff members and outside customers requesting information and research from the finance department.

o        Researching differences and discrepancies upon request of the Director.

o        Assisting the Director as requested with preparation of audit schedules.

o        Assisting the Director and CFO with special projects associated with the implementation of new systems, automation of manual processes and changing business processes to improve the efficiency of the accounting department.

 

Education and Experience:

·        Education – High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field is strongly preferred.

·        Experience - A minimum of four years of general accounting experience with automated general ledger systems.
