Job Summary:
An Association in Alexandria, VA is looking for a Policy & Professional Affairs Coordinator for a temp-to-hire opportunity.

Responsibilities:
• Provides administrative, research and project management support to the Director of Professional Alliance Development and the Vice President of Policy and Advocacy.
• Research and projects involve ongoing department programs as well as the tracking of pertinent federal legislation regarding higher education and health-related programs/services/initiatives.
• Assists the Executive Vice President/CEO with communications for the Pharmacy Workforce Center (PWC) and logistics management for the Center’s meetings.
• Manages meetings functions for program areas, committees and specific projects as assigned
• Drafts background on issues development for committees.
• Reviews and analyzes relevant publications for opportunities for members and communicates these with Vice President of Policy and Advocacy and Director of Professional Alliance Development.
• Manages information transfer, responds to member and public inquiries, and coordinates with Communications staff on public relations issues.

Requirements:
• 2 – 4 years of related experience to include administrative support and project management.
• Minimum BA/BS degree, preferably in political science.
• Highly organized with strong project management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines.
