We have an immediate opening for an Escrow & Commissions Specialist at our Severna Park, Maryland location. 

The Escrow and Commissions Specialist is responsible for completing the daily work of Escrow Processing and assist in the daily work of Commissions Processing, ensuring that all daily functions are completed timely & efficiently by communicating & coordinating with supervisor and co-workers on a daily basis.

Essential Duties: 

• Responsible for communicating & coordinating workload & job functions on a daily basis with supervisor and co-workers on problem-resolution, including system issues, to ensure all critical duties are completed.
• Responsible for all phases of escrow processing, including, but not limited to following: deposits, NSF’s and disbursement of funds, including incoming and outgoing wire transfers, recording of documents and file maintenance, ensuring completion and accuracy on a daily basis.
• Process escrow transactions and provide support as needed to process commissions’ transactions through the automated accounting software (LoneWolf) in adherence to Company Policies and Procedures.
• Ensure that ACH payments & checks are accurate & signed by the appropriate party, distribute and send ACH copies & checks daily, in accordance to Company Policies and Procedures.
• Research and answer vendor, agent & employee inquiries regarding escrow processing, transactions & disbursements, and Company Policies and Procedures.
• Knowledge of, and ability to work with automated systems.
• Reviews and maintains current procedural documentation of the assigned section’s duties, including but not limited to Escrow Processing & Company Policies and Procedures, forms and letters, as well as, recommending areas for improvement.
• Handle escrow & commissions filing.
• Daily mail sorting and distribution, incoming & outgoing, via US Mail & UPS.
• Ad hoc projects as assigned.
• High School diploma or a combination of education and experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge to satisfactorily perform the essential job functions.
• Two years of work related experience in a professional business environment with financial institution, accounting and real estate preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning financial and vendor, agent & employee files.
• Computer Skills: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Ability to work independently as well as a team player. Excellent interpersonal, teambuilding, organizational, stress & time management skills. Possess effective verbal, listening & written communication skills. Attention to detail, speed and high level of accuracy.
