Customer Care Representative

Job Description

The Customer Care Representative (CCR) position provides telephonic absence management services to a large government agency.


·         Answers incoming calls from employees calling to report an absence and supervisors checking absence status.

·         Places outgoing calls to employees to follow up and schedule medical appointments.

·         Transfers calls and coordinates follow-up with medical case managers as appropriate based on written protocols.

·         Documents calls and appointments in an online absence management system.

·         Processes incoming written absence reports and forms.

·         Identifies and reports issues that warrant escalation.


The successful candidate will have:

·         A minimum of one year of customer service experience. Call center experience is a plus.

·         Accurate typing skills and familiarity with computers.

·         A warm, engaging phone manner.

·         Effective time management skills.

·         A strong record of attendance and punctuality.

·         The ability to work independently.

The successful candidate must be a United States citizen and must pass and maintain a Federal security clearance.
