Complete Building Services (CBS) has an opening for a full-time Facilities Manager. This position is responsible for facility planning, operations, and maintenance of a large facility in Washington, DC, including developing and implementing system lifecycle programs to maximize efficiency, length of service, and utilization of facility assets. This person manages employees, contractors, and/or supervisors in the operation and maintenance of buildings and grounds.


???   Develops and implements business processes that assure cost efficient facility operations and minimize/eliminate unplanned infrastructure and building systems downtime.

???   Develops and manages local facility operating budget.

???   Develops short- and long-term facility utilization plans.

???   Manages, at the department level, loss, injury prevention programs, and compliance with environmental, health and safety standards.

???   Manages security, alarm, and fire suppression/detection systems and ensures compliance to applicable building, fire, electrical, mechanical system standards and codes.

???   Manages contractors and outsourced services.

???   Provides oversight for capital projects and local project managers.

???   Responsible for effective cost management associated with maintaining the facility, equipment and furnishings.

???   Supervises administrative support functions as required.

???   Develops facility operations and maintenance policies, procedures, and work instructions.



Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and at least five years experience in a related field or trade. Thorough understanding of building construction and associated trades. Ability to read blueprints. CFM and/or additional industry certifications required. Proficiency in spreadsheet and database software applications; CAD or CAFM a plus.
