Chenega Systems (CS) provides federal agencies empowered solutions in Cybersecurity and Data Visualization. Our Subject Matter Experts offer decades of experience working in the federal marketplace and the data visualization environment.
You will support the Headquarters Department of the Army (HQDA) Office of Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS) G-2 Information Management (IM) Directorate, otherwise known as the Department of the Army Military Intelligence - Information Management (DAMI-IM), Chief Information Officer (CIO) in this important role. DAMI-IM's mission is to transform Army Intelligence into a Net-Centric, knowledge-based community through the development of policy and management of Information Technology (IT) integration, networking, assurance, initiatives, and programs. You'll be helping achieve G-2's vision of putting intelligence into the Warfighter's hands.
Under general supervision, the Data Engineer carries out procedures to ensure that all information systems products and services meet minimum organization standards and end-user requirements.
Responsibilities
Work you'll do
As a Data Engineer - Intermediate within our Army CIO project, you will:
- Thoroughly test software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects.
- Document and work to resolve all problems.
- Report progress on problem resolution to management.
- Devise improvements to current procedures and develop models of possible future configurations.
- Perform workflow analysis and recommend quality improvements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science and 5+ years of experience
- Cloud Service Provider support with progressively complex experience in:
- Computer simulation, enterprise architectures, advanced networking techniques and protocols, databases, programming languages, and operating systems with establishing technology product specifications
- Continuous improvement of the software development process and performance of root cause analysis
- Creating cloud-based highly distributed product delivery environments and defining the technical architecture for the application migration to the cloud
- Executing projects/programs with similar requirements
- 4+ years of experience in the design and development of advanced networking techniques and protocols, database management systems, and programming languages
- DoD 8570 IAT-II certification required
- TS/SCI clearance required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty
