The Role

The Business Cards and Payments Field Strategy team is a passionate and entrepreneurial team of business analysts and process managers focused on supporting our field sales team with strategy, reporting and new process solutions.

We are looking for a Senior Associate Process Manager to join our team to help us build, deliver and manage sales outreach campaigns for the field sales team. The candidate needs to be a highly motivated professional with excellent organization, problem-solving and communication skills.

As a Senior Process Manager, you will be able to further develop your process management skills while working in a close-knit and collaborative environment. You will educate and gain buy-in from key stakeholders concerning the utilization of processes to ensure appropriate execution each and every time. This individual must be able to effectively communicate and influence partners across multiple functional areas including multiple levels of the organization. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to change are essential to succeeding in this role. The role will be critical to a customer-facing. revenue-generating function that directly creates real value to Capital One.

General Responsibilities
  • Day to day oversight of multiple processes: monitor, report, and plan process improvement or redesign initiatives; define, establish, and manage process controls; identify and Implement process improvement opportunities. Will perform processes or parts of the process as needed.
  • Effectively communicate and influence partners across multiple functional areas including multiple levels of the organization. Educate and gain buy-in from key stakeholders concerning the utilization of standard processes to ensure appropriate execution each and every time.
  • Navigate regulatory requirements, as well as the development and management of process controls, to maintain a well-managed process.
  • Collect, analyze and measure process data, to initiate sustainable business practices and procedures and for reporting to senior leadership and executives; review data for trends and gaps in the process that may require additional review.
  • Resolve complex problems or transactions, where expertise is required to interpret against policies, guidelines or processes; escalate breakdowns in the process by asking the right questions and identify the right stakeholders to correct breakdowns.
  • Maintain formal process documents (e.g. procedures and diagrams), and document processes and projects (creating project reports, presentations, business cases, and diagrams).
  • May participate in cross-functional project teams, including projects driven by other parts of the organization, to provide input, liaise with training, and partner with groups on execution efforts.'
  • Provide customer service and training to internal customers on specific processes they manage; may deliver presentations, including up to the executive level.
  • Work directly with and communicate with a nationwide sales team.


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in project management or process management
  • At least 1 year of programming experience or at least 1 year of data analysis experience


Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in Six Sigma or Business Process Management
  • 2+ years of experience in consulting
  • 4+ years of Process Management experience working in cross-functional projects
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
