Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Heavy Mobile Equipment Reparier without more than normal supervision. Applicants must meet the following screen out element to be considered further. To meet the screen out element, applicants should document experience or show the ability to do the following: troubleshoot, maintain and repair heavy mobile equipment to include performance of preventative maintenance checks and services; repair, replace, install, or make adjustments to mobile equipment components and parts; and conduct various operational tests to perform final inspection. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

Additional information
- Troubleshoot, repair, modify and maintain a variety of heavy mobile equipment, such as: construction, industrial, combat, tactical, and powered support equipment. Equipment may include bulldozers, graders, tractors, generators, forklifts, etc.
- Remove and replace major systems or components of equipment to include power packs, transmissions, transfers, gear reduction units, injector pumps, air conditioners, fuel pumps and alternators.
- Make idle speed, current, brake, and transmission linkage adjustments.
- Perform initial and in-process inspections; perform mechanical diagnostics and troubleshoot to localize defects and determine cause of malfunction; perform mechanical maintenance on defective parts; and perform minor body work.
- Provide technical assistance to unit personnel.
- Operate motor vehicles to perform the duties of this position.

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires membership in the US Army Reserve (USAR).
- This position requires an annual medical examination.
- This position is subject to random drug testing.
- This position requires a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within 90 days of employment.
- This position requires a Personnel Security Investigation.

- Physical Effort: Work requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, stretching, climbing, and crouching. Work on top of, under, or in tight compartments of equipment. Frequent lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Working Conditions: Work is performed in a maintenance shop setting.
