White Oak Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Manager of Security, Safety & Emergency Management who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.
As a Manager of Safety & Emergency Management you will:
•Proactively implement safe practices and address safety issues as they arise
•Chair the Environment of Care Committee for White Oak Medical Center Campus
•Manage the White Oak Medical Center Emergency Management Program
•Serve as Liaison for Adventist Healthcare Emergency Management Program
•Monitor Life Safety Code Compliance in collaboration with the Quality Service department and the Facilities department
•Conduct safety and emergency management training for the White Oak Medical Center campus
•Maintain compliance with applicable codes and policies
•Bachelor's Degree Preferred in Safety, Emergency Management or a related field desired and preferred.
•Minimum five (5) years of experience in security, safety and/or emergency management within a healthcare setting
•Minimum five (5) years of supervisory experience in healthcare
•ISC 100, 200, 700, 800 and CMS/TJC Boot Camp within 12 months of hire
•Knowledge of security and safety considerations in a hospital environment utilizing best practices
•Ability to exercise good judgement when dealing with tense situations
•Demonstrates Emotional Intelligence in order to promote a cohesive team and de-escalate conflict
•Able to Identify safety deficiencies in order to address them proactively
•Organized, able to compile and evaluate data
•Capable of working in groups with other individuals with different motivations to achieve a single goal
•Ability to communicate and educate effectively with clarity and professionalism
•Working knowledge of code requirements, including NFPA LSC and TJC EP's
