Manager, Process Management
The Retail Managing Data Steward Team at Capital One offers a unique opportunity to partner with the Bank data community at large to provide education and guidance towards Enterprise data policy compliance. We use data analytics to inform our priorities, opportunities and modernization efforts while ensuring that our data is registered, protected, and secure. Our group is driving a culture change where data management is top of mind for Bank associates, and you will have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in making this happen.
Job Description
As a Manager of Process Management, you will be focused on ensuring the Bank is well-managed and compliant with our Information Data Management policy. You will be a subject matter expert and deliver data management strategies and processes that improve business efficiency and drive results. You will create and modify processes while collaborating with smart and passionate leaders to influence results that have a direct impact on the way we work. You will monitor data trends to measure effectiveness and install necessary benchmarks or thresholds to ensure data integrity. You will educate and gain buy-in from key stakeholders concerning the utilization of process to ensure appropriate execution each and every time.
In this role you will:
-Execute all data management processes related to data quality and data defects for Retail Bank including those related to the High Priority Usages.
-Monitor data trends and create metrics/reports for peers and multiple stakeholders.
-Provide recurring communication for the data community/data stewards and influence policy compliance with an inspiring and motivational approach.
-Utilize traditional and non-traditional communication methods.
-Manage and provide continuous improvement recommendations to our Control Suite while monitoring and ensuring compliance
-Establish a center of excellence related to data stewardship.
-Collaborate with internal partners to build an understanding of processes or workflows that involve sensitive data and ensure that it is properly protected.
-Develop and nurture relationships with key internal stakeholders in support of Capital One's data management policies.
-Represent the Managing Data Steward and our policies as new initiatives are presented from across the Enterprise.
-Provide ideas and suggestions for improvements within our team and beyond and make them happen.
-Drive results through others even if they do not report to you.
We are seeking dedicated, disciplined, process professionals who excel in a team environment and are experts in data management and data privacy. This individual will have demonstrated that they can improve processes, resulting in time and resource savings. This individual must be able to effectively communicate and influence partners across the company and across multiple levels of the organization. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic, agile environment are essential to succeeding in this role. This individual must display strong leadership skills and be able to drive and motivate others in delivering flawless execution of process improvement projects.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
- At least 2 years of experience in Process management
- At least 2 years of experience in Project management
- At least 2 years of experience in Relationship management
- At least 2 years of experience in Data management or Data privacy legislation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Lean certification or Six Sigma certification
- 5+ years of experience in Process management
- 5+ years of experience in Project management
- 5+ years of experience in complex problem solving
- 5+ years of experience in Relationship management
- 5+ years of experience in Data management or Data privacy legislation
