Duties
The ODNI's Executive Secretariat Office (ESO) directly supports the organization's executive leadership, consisting of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI), Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence (PDDNI), and Chief Operating Officer (COO).
ESO is comprised of three groups (defined below), and this vacancy is seeking qualified applicants to support each of these groups:
One Group is responsible for task management; serves as the central point of contact, coordination, and control for correspondence and other communications for mission and support activities; ensures all appropriate offices are included in the tasking, correspondence drafting, and policy-making processes through a task management system; processes incoming and outgoing correspondence ensuring high quality, timeliness, and conformance with regulations and policies; develops and maintains standard operating procedures for tasking, coordination, formats, and records management.
Another Group is responsible for coordinating external engagements (e.g., meetings with academia, foreign counterparts, military officials, private sector partners, etc.) and executive travel, both foreign and domestic, for the DNI and PDDNI.
The third Group is responsible for finalizing and executing engagements (e.g., meetings, ceremonies, and other events) hosted by the DNI, PDDNI, COO, and/or other senior officials in the organization.
The following responsibilities are common amongst the three groups:
Review, compose, edit, and distribute incoming and outgoing communication materials ensuring key stakeholder coordination, high quality and timely deliverables, and conformance with regulations and policies.
Assign action items to appropriate ODNI components and Intelligence Community (IC) elements, log and track task status, negotiate extensions to deadlines, anticipate impediments to successful and timely responses, and report task status to senior management.
Ensure proper handling of highly classified and limited distribution materials and perform security control officer functions as required.

Applicants may be considered for this position as a reimbursable detailee, if endorsed by the employing agency. Applicants must have current TS/SCI clearances with polygraph or have the ability to obtain one. The ODNI does not conduct polygraphs or provide security clearances for detailees.
Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements:
Basic knowledge of the IC mission, organization, roles, and responsibilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team member, and proactively manage competing priorities under strict deadlines.
Ability to juggle competing priorities, and seek out, through a collaborative process, innovative solutions.
Knowledge and full understanding of English grammar, spelling, punctuation, and executive-level correspondence.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and sustain professional networks across organizational boundaries to exert influence.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, including the ability to think strategically and identify needs, requirements, and develop recommendations.
Ability to mentor and train new officers to ensure consistent quality and control of processes and documents.
Excellent communication, writing, and technical editing skills with demonstrated success producing clear and concise products.
Ability to support executives and/or senior government officials.
Desired Requirements:
Knowledge of the ODNI and IC mission, organization, roles, and responsibilities.
Proficiency using MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote.
Education
Bachelor's Degree.
