Research Assistant (multi-hire)The George Mason University, School of Nursing has received a philanthropic donation to create an application for bruising assessments. This application will assist in promoting equity and access to health services. In order to complete this project, research assistants are required to assess and evaluate data, complete data entry, perform data quality and assurance tasks as per protocol and under the direction of the Research Director.George Mason University has a strong institutional commitment to the achievement of excellence and diversity among its faculty and staff, and strongly encourages candidates to apply who will enrich Mason's academic and culturally inclusive environment.About the Position:The purpose of this job task is to review images and classify the data for machine learning application. The task requires reviewing images that comply with data definitions and inputting that data classification. There will be training and guidance to assist in the assignment of established data classifications. In order to complete this project research assistants are required to assess and evaluate data, complete data entry, perform data quality and assurance tasks as per protocol and under the direction of the Research Director.Special Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Possess attention to detail;Excellent written and verbal communication skills;Able to work with a team;Able to identify correct data classifications;Able to perform accurate data entry;Able to perform consistent data classifications and data entry;Able to time manage independently;Able to work a minimum of 10 hours/week on the project;Able to perform additional duties as required to meet project needs; andAble to perform quality assurance and improvement tasks.Required Qualifications:Enrolled in or graduate of academic related field or with experience in related research;Be able to work 10 hours/week on tasks; andSuccessfully complete the orientation/ instruction and demonstrate competence at data entry.
