Experiential Learning ManagerThe George Mason University, School of Business, invites applications for an Experiential Learning Manager. The Experiential Learning Manager will provide strategic direction to provide high quality programs and events that support the experiential learning goals of the students to include internships, MasonMentors, site visits, programs, services, and events. Washington, D.C. is ranked the 30th most racially and ethnically diverse city nationally amongst cities with a population of at least 300,000 people according to the U.S. News & World Report 2018 Diversity Ranking.Responsibilities:The Experiential Learning Manager has responsibilities in the following areas:Student and Employer Interaction:Provide Experiential Learning advising in one-on-one setting to include:Assist students with all experiential learning programs, services, and events, including but not limited to, Internship for Credit Class and MasonMentors;Preparing students on all aspects of internship search process (for both credit and non-credit opportunities);Serve as liaison to School of Business Student Organizations in matters related to employment opportunities, experiential programs and services and professional development; andEngage with employers to highlight hiring or mentorship opportunities and coordinate events to promote featured employers.Internship Administration:With the support of the Administrative Associate, responsible for development and execution of Internship for credit class in the School of Business including: processing all necessary applications, forms, and agreements related to student participation.Administration of MasonMentors:Manage the approval of new mentor applications;Pull and synthesize engagement data; andConduct assessment on user experience and future growth.Workshops/Class Presentations:Present experiential learning related workshops and orientations throughout the year for the purpose of educating and engaging students in the programs and services in the School of Business and Career Services; andCreate and implement new initiatives, programs, and services to better enhance the overall experiential learning experience of School of Business students.Special Projects:Create and manage projects as assigned by the Assistant Dean of Career Services to help achieve the goals of the Internship/Experiential Programs and Career Services office.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or any equivalent combination of education and/or experience;Ability to implement academic programs and services;Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills;Relationship skills (teamwork, collaboration, networking, development);Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently;Technology skills such as Microsoft, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce, and Banner;Demonstrated work experience in a related professional setting;Experience working with internship programs in educational or professional setting; andExperienced in the use of the internet.Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree;Degree in Business;Knowledge of business careers and the local/regional business community;Experience working in a career services office, preferably in a college/university environment;Related experience in higher education; andExperience working with the implementation of a variety of experiential and/or internship programs and services for business students.
