RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assures that all network operations are operational, and all engineering solutions are implemented successfully network solutions from network design through implementation, maintenance, and upgrading of existing networks. Analyzes design, specifications, and related documents. Must have demonstrated experience identifying, developing, and implementing engineering change solutions, new technology, and solutions on a large enterprise national scale
• Demonstrated ability to work in a customer environment collaboratively through constraints to meet mission milestones.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills and management to include presentation and experience discussing technology at large government agency CIO/CTO executive level

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience or a Master's degree in Information Technology or related field of study with 6+ years of related experience
• Minimum eight (8) years of experience as a Network Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) additional years of experience in Network Engineering disciplines may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• Possess an active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI
• Current DoD 8570 baseline certification for IAT II (one of the following: GSEC, Security+, SCNP and SSCP certifications)
• 6+ years of experience in system architecture

Overview

We are seeking a Network Engineer to join our team supporting AFNCR at Joint Base Andrews, MD(JBA)/Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB).

The AFNCR IT Services program provides support services for information systems for Headquarters Air Force (HAF), Air Force District of Washington (AFDW), Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Chiefs of Staff, and other Air Force activities within the AFNCR missions to include the Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews (JBA), Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB), and other locations, leased spaces, and alternate sites.
