Duties

• You will oversee the review of the contractor's quality assurance management program for compliance to contract specifications.
• You will manage projects for construction, renovations, and improvements to facilities.
• You will advise managers on technical aspects of engineering systems to discuss and resolve difficult problems.
• You will resolve problems to ensure safety requirements are satisfied in accordance with established regulations and standards.

• This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
• This is a bargaining unit position.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver?s license.

Qualifications

To qualify for the GS-10: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Reviewing, assessing and resolving complex and diverse construction and design problems encountered during the performance of projects assigned; 2) assisting the construction engineer on technical situations requiring extensive knowledge of engineering practices and construction methods; 3) Reviewing project plans and specifications prior to contract award for technical soundness, compliance with requirements and to determine practicability from a construction management standpoint; 4) Utilizes construction project scheduling software to track the progress of assigned projects; NOTE: This information must be supported in your r?sum? to be considered for the position.

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
