Responsibilities
Job Specific Details and Tasks:
- Establish or update the DFC system patching and vulnerability lifecycle procedures and policy documents.
- Perform monthly patch cycles working closely with CISO and Application Development teams to test and pilot system and security patches prior to deploying to production
environments. - Manage patches and updates/upgrades to all DFC hardware and software to keep it threat-free and up to date.
- Regularly test all DFC infrastructure and apply necessary preventative maintenance.
- Maintain configuration and vulnerability compliance with the following:
• Group Policy Management
• CIS or DISA STIGs
• NIST SP 800-53 - Work closely with the DFC CISO team to collect artifacts in response to FISMA audits, resolve all open Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M's) and assist System Owners with maintaining active Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) / Memorandum of
Understanding (MOU), Interconnection Security Agreements to
support their respective FedRAMP systems.
Qualifications
Required Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Studies or a related field of study
Clearance Requirements:
- Must be able to obtain a DFC Clearance
Standard Interview & Selection Process:
- Recruiter Pre-Screen
- If selected, Interview with Hiring Manager and/or Technical Lead
Required Experience:
- 5+ years of Vulnerability/Patch Management experience in a cyber security setting
- Experience with BigFix Patch Management Software
- Experience with Windows, Linux, and networking environments.
- Experience researching resolutions to vulnerabilities and hands-on experience with mitigation
- Working knowledge of information systems security standards/practices (e.g., access control and system hardening, system audit and log file monitoring, security policies, patch management, and incident handling).
- Maintains an up-to-date understanding of emerging cyber threats facing financial institution
- Experience with multi factor authentication and authentication processes and protocols. Authentication services, as well as PKI and token/certificate based authentication, DNS, and AD structure.
- Experience researching resolutions to vulnerabilities and hands-on experience with mitigation.
- Demonstrated high level of communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Perform technical threat/risk and vulnerability assessments and manage vulnerabilities throughout their lifecycle.
- 3+ years of experience with cyber security, asset management, and asset protection, including BigFix for large enterprise environments
- 3+ years of experience in assisting with patching and upgrading HCL BigFix applications
- Experience with configuration management of operating system and applications of popular security benchmarks published by DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides
- Experience with BigFix, including Asset Discovery, Inventory, Software Distribution, Compliance, Vulnerability Management, and Patch Management
- Experience with software discovery and reporting using BigFix Inventory
