IT Security Analyst, Workday Security Analyst
Position #: 128326
The Workday Security Analyst supports the University of Maryland (UMD) Workday Enterprise Services team by collaborating with University stakeholders to develop and maintain the Workday security model. The Security Analyst is a subject matter expert for Workday security technical areas and helps coordinate a sustainable centralized security model.
Specific duties for this role include:
* Work closely with HR, Finance, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, identify gaps and risks, suggest alternatives and advise on best practices
* Collaborate with both technology and business teams to identify, develop, implement, and maintain the Workday Security Matrix
* Configure and maintain security groups, roles, and permissions across all Workday modules and users
* Conduct security reviews and audits to ensure compliance
* Serve as subject matter expert and assist peer teams in mitigating security risks and providing best practices
* Review and approve various security requests
* Create, document, and maintain proper internal controls
* Promote continuous improvement of security processes and provide security reports to identify improvement opportunities
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Experience: - 2+ years experience supporting enterprise-level SaaS software applications as a systems analyst or business analyst
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
* Advanced business and systems analysis skills
* Understanding of role-based security in enterprise SaaS solutions
* Efficient in reviewing, and eliminating duplicate roles and permissions, and identifying Segregation of Duties conflicts
* Effective communication skills – including the capability to listen to the needs of others, research and comprehend complex matters, articulate issues in a clear and concise manner, and present findings as well as recommendations in both oral and written presentations
* Demonstrated ability to handle a high level of activity under various conditions and constraints and pay close attention to details
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, and experience applying these skills to resolve operational and system issues
* Ability to work as part of a team and with members of other functional/technical teams to identify action items, team member responsibilities, etc.
Preferences:
* University of Maryland experience
* ERP Implementation experience
* Experience with HR and Finance business processes
* Experience with Workday EIB Processes, Reporting, Dashboard and Calculated Fields

Salary range: $80,000 – $90,000

The incumbent works in an office environment and the position requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to attend meetings on and off campus.
