Job Summary:
We're hiring a detail-oriented Health Communications Manager - Quality Control - Lead Research Associate to join our dynamic, award-winning health communications team. We are seeking a professional with solid experience in ensuring the quality and accuracy of content on a variety of public health topics and for audiences including healthcare providers, researchers, policymakers, the media, and the public. The successful candidate should understand biomedical and public health research and writing and editing for web and social media platforms. Job Responsibilities:

• Review information products according to client specifications for style, tone, and length, while also ensuring the quality and accuracy of the content.
• Ensure articles, manuals, proposals, and other publications meet style, formatting, and general quality standards.
• Use word processing software and text management systems to edit and prepare copy for review, quality control, and production.
• Collaborate with writers, multimedia designers, and Section 508 compliance specialists and corporate creative services team for additional editorial, graphics, and document production services.
• Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• Degree in English, journalism, or related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience performing quality control reviews of reports, manuals, web content, and other information products on a range of topics.
• Experience applying a variety of writing style guides and ensuring compliance with copyright law.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with content related to infectious disease, cardiovascular, respiratory, chronic conditions, maternal health, and health equity topics.
• Experience supporting federal public health clients.
• Experience with grant or proposal writing.

Other Required Qualifications:

• Demonstrated communication skills and detail oriented.
• Collaboration with teams, managers and/or clients.
• Organizational skills, including time management ability; ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver accurate content on deadlines.
