Job Summary

Aptive Resources is seeking an accomplished training specialist to provide tactical and strategic support to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Student and Exchange Visitor Program. The training specialist will develop and maintain technical training curriculum to be delivered in virtual formats; develop testing strategies to validate student level of knowledge; and plan, schedule, and execute training to support SEVP stakeholders.

This full-time position is located in Tysons Corner, VA.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing, implementing, and conducting courses of instruction related to various topics in organizational development.
  • Utilizes such methods as group discussions, lectures, seminars, and workshops.
  • Assembles (physical and virtual) materials and teaching aids to be presented during training or provided post training such as completion certificates as specified in individual task orders.
  • Supervises training exercises carried out by students and assist them on points of difficulty.
  • Tests students to evaluate their learning progress and evaluates effectiveness of instruction


Minimum Qualifications

Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive research and analysis.
  • Ability to develop white papers, briefing materials, and to make oral presentation of these materials to all levels of management.
  • Ability to educate and inform senior federal management on various communication planning alternatives.
