Job Summary
Aptive is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead a multi-project/multi-task Staffing and Technical Acquisition Services contract with the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition (SAF/AQ). In this position, the Program Manager will provide oversight and management support, to include all the necessary technical, business, and administrative planning; organizing; managing; coordinating; tracking (e.g., schedule, deliverables); performance management; and resource management required to perform all program activities successfully. Must be able to identify and mitigate risks to the program. Must be able to manage cost, schedule and performance. The Program Manager will support the entire spectrum of acquisition and sustainment efforts as necessary to assist stakeholder Government organizations.
This senior-level, full-time position and can be remote. We prefer a candidate located in the NCR to attend in-person meetings in the Alexandria/D.C. Area.

Primary Responsibilities
- Lead strategic planning, budgeting, and staffing efforts in response to task requirements.
- Formulate, communicate, and enforce quality work standards.
- Monitor progress and resolve any issues impacting successful capability delivery.
- Ensure compliance with all administrative and contractual requirements.
- Handle confidential and classified (Secret/TS-SCI) information, correspondence, and communications.
- Provide strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff.
- Provide detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for mission critical challenges/issues
- Consult with client to define need or problem, supervise studies, and lead surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions.
- Support project staff providing administrative support to on-board/off-board staff as required.
- Oversee and track contract financials on an ongoing basis.
- Oversee a large team of staff, including subcontractors.
- Responsible for effectively executing the intent of project and agency objectives through understanding project needs and tailoring work to meet those needs.
- Responsible for adhering to all contractual timelines and overseeing that all contract tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Employ creative thinking to formulate goals and objectives and integrate them into a cohesive project implementation approach to satisfy customer mission requirements.
- Be available to the Contracting Officer (CO) and Contracting Officer Representative (COR) via telephone during normal duty hours and respond to requests for discussion or resolution of technical problems within 48 hours of notification.
Minimum Qualifications
- 15+ years of management experience and MS/MA degree or the equivalent education and/or experience.
- Experience in leading, managing, and conducting complex, multi-project/multi-task technical or DoD contract assignments preferred.
- Active Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) Clearance required.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Consulting experience supporting large, complex Cabinet-level federal agencies.
- Skills and experience in program management, excellent communication skills and strong multitasker.
