Job Summary
Aptive is seeking a full-time Issue Project Manager. The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) is America's largest integrated health care system, providing care at 1,293 health care facilities, including 171 medical centers and 1,112 outpatient sites of care of varying complexity (VHA outpatient clinics), serving 9 million enrolled Veterans each year. VHA's Office of Healthcare Transformation (OHT) supports VHA to plan, engineer and implement enterprise Veteran driven systems of care in support of VA priorities, including Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM).
This individual will also provide decision management, research and analysis, program management and communications support.

EHRM is a major executive program office in the Office of Health Informatics (OHI). This office reports to the Chief Informatics Officer (CIO) for VHA and supports a high reliability, learning health organization. Its mission is to improve the Veterans experience and provide health care staff with information and solutions for better decision workflows. OHI directs the coordinating efforts of the VHA EHRM Decision Support Team, facilitates the work of the VHA EHRM Interdisciplinary Decision-Making Group, and integrates the work of the VHA EHRM National Councils into VHA's overall coordinated execution of EHRM efforts.

Primary Responsibilities
- Utilize prior healthcare experience
- Facilitate complex operational issues associated with the implementation of Cerner at the VHA.
- Handle stakeholders who submit issues
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders, councils, and governance board.
- Have the ability to develop a problem statement and put together an executive summary of an issue.
- Support project management activities including coordinating multiple tasks and project teams, distributing project communications, and participating in various meetings and events
- Provide administrative and programmatic support to federal councils and workgroups including, but not limited to, attending, facilitating and coordinating a variety of meetings; providing documentation and technical writing support; developing and maintaining and implementation plan; assisting in the development of project roadmaps; and tracking of and reporting on overall program activities and issues
- Work with clients to develop, refine and maintain processes, guidelines, rules and interdisciplinary structures for how the government should manage, prioritize and coordinate decisions and tasks
- Assist in defining and documenting business rules, decision rights, role definitions, responsibilities and resources
- Support risk management and quality assurance efforts across the project
- Create reports, metrics and tracking mechanisms and provide analysis to relevant stakeholders
- Coordinate and consolidate status report information on a weekly and monthly timeframe
Minimum Qualifications
- 8 years of relevant experience
- Must have experience supporting the VA/VHA
- Prior healthcare experience
- Project Management experience
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Ability to interact and engage with executive-level stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
- Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Ability to work onsite in Washington, D.C. when needed

- Desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment
- Capable self-starter with a drive to get all types of work done and high attention to detail
