Summary

You will serve as the Audit & Reporting Branch Manager in the AIT Information Security & Privacy Service (IS&P), reporting to the Division Manager of the Security and Compliance Division and direct the work of subordinate employees within the Audit & Reporting Branch.

Duties

The Audit & Reporting Branch AIS-240, provides audit and data call Agency liaison coordination services for a variety of audits, including Financial Statement audits, FISMA audits, Office of Inspector General audits, Government Accountability Office audits, and the Cybersecurity Act of 2015 also known as Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act. This requires aggregating stakeholder feedback for audits and data calls and then responding to the auditor. AIS-240 provides audit liaison support for external audits with a sensitive awareness of applicable requirements and regulations directed by DOT, OMB, DHS, Office of Personnel Management (OPM), and NIST; and maintains responsibility for ensuring reporting integrity, makes recommendations on findings, and collaborates with stakeholders in recommending adjustments to policies, priorities, structure, or procedures to make operations as efficient, economical, and effective as possible.

Incumbent will be responsible for the overall leadership and direction of the following: compare input to audit findings and recommendations for adequacy and forward response to AAE and AFN-1, and the DOT; follow up on audits by monitoring and tracking responses to GAO and OIG audit findings and recommendations; and prepare weekly and quarterly reports as required.

Performs managerial duties such as: setting priorities; assigning tasks; monitoring and evaluating performance; coaching and developing employee capabilities; approving leave; and taking or recommending corrective/disciplinary action, as appropriate.

Uses assigned budget, staff, and other resources to accomplish objectives.

Manages the budget and requests additional resources, as needed.

Contributes to budget planning processes and project future needs.

Applies a comprehensive knowledge of the technical aspects of the work directed, a detailed knowledge of budget, and other administrative policies and procedures, and a detailed understanding of the objectives of the organizational unit.

Work usually includes routine project/program tasks based on established policies, procedures, and guidelines.
