Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the lead technical architect over an IT support team with a wide range of responsibilities to include advising the government customer on modernization, database management, application management, desktop support and imaging, infrastructure design, infrastructure as a service, cybersecurity, and support for both classified and unclassified environments.
  • Develop specific implementation guidelines and operational planning for future technology transitions to DISA, as well as sustainment and deployment of necessary upgrades and refreshes for software and hardware technology still remaining in the existing agency infrastructure.
  • Research, analyze, and recommend potential technology/performance enhancements and information system upgrades for the purpose of lifecycle sustainment/replacement, security, and operational improvements necessary to support a secure, reliable, and sustainable environment.
  • Plan, design, engineer, and submit Implementation/Design Packages (IDP), to include required artifacts.
  • Adhere to agency change management processes, and create/submit a Request for Change (RFC) for each approved IDP.
  • Oversee the implementation of approved plans.
  • Design, implement, integrate, and sustain infrastructure with legacy and cloud-based applications to include COTS, and other modernization efforts.
  • Participate in planning and implementation of modernization efforts to include transition of legacy systems and applications to cloud-based solutions.
  • Support software developers and users in a Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) environment.
  • Integrate and sustain data backup solutions and data warehouses for legacy and cloud-based applications.
  • Design, implement, and sustain automated application testing infrastructure.
  • Conduct Continuity of Operations (COOP) and Disaster Recovery planning and participate in related exercises.
  • Review and update Contingency Planning procedures for DCMA IT technologies and perform quarterly Pre-Contingency Planning exercise technology reviews to ensure procedures are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Provide a Contingency Exercise After Action Report (AAR) documenting any issues or problems encountered during the exercise, recommend resolution to those problems, and any lessons learned.
  • Ensure that designs and solutions conform to DoD/agency security requirements and policies, to include DISA STIGs.
  • Support migrations of systems, data, and applications to cloud-based or DISA hosted solutions.
  • Provide infrastructure planning, design, implementation, operation, maintenance, and support for SIPRNet systems, servers, clients, software, applications, appliances, and customers.
  • Oversee the network team and ensure all design drawings are accurate and updated.
  • Provide vulnerability management support.
  • Track and oversee the completion of all infrastructure projects for classified and unclassified environments.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 7 years of experience supporting a wide variety of enterprise infrastructure technologies and implementations, such as enterprise storage, virtual server implementations, SharePoint, data center consolidation and network planning.
  • Certifications:
    • One of the following DoD 8570 IAT-III certifications:
      • CASP+ CE
      • CCNP Security
      • CISA
      • CISSP (or Associate)
      • GCED
      • GCIH
      • CCSP
  • Clearance: Top Secret Clearance with ADP Level 1 eligibility (T5 investigation)
